Our goal is to boost the involvement of Polish institutions in Horizon Europe, the largest EU Framework Programme with a budget of €93.5 billion.

As the Horizontal Contact Point we provide assistance and support in the following areas:

  • selecting the appropriate funding call;
  • finding consortium partners;
  • preparing project proposals;
  • implementing projects and managing administrative processes;

How we can support you:

Identifying calls within the EU Framework Programme Horizon Europe
Finding the right funding opportunity is the first and most crucial step. As a Horizontal Contact Point, we offer support in selecting the appropriate call for your project. Our service includes presenting currently available funding opportunities within Horizon Europe, outlining relevant topics, discussing project scope, participation rules, funding mechanisms, and formal requirements.

Proposal consultations for Horizon Europe
EU documentation can be complex and discouraging when preparing project proposals. With our help, you can quickly and efficiently understand all formal requirements and detailed regulations. During the proposal writing stage, joint discussions, clarifications, tips, and suggestions significantly increase your chances of receiving a positive evaluation and securing funding. We offer comprehensive support in reviewing Horizon Europe applications, including project scope analysis, review of current call documentation, guidance on completing specific sections, budget planning, and scheduling project activities.

Advisory services for Horizon Europe project implementation
Entities from the West Pomeranian, Lubusz, and Greater Poland voivodeships implementing Horizon Europe projects can benefit from our advisory services in areas such as: grant and consortium agreements, navigating the EU Funding & Tenders Portal, financial aspects and project reporting, intellectual property rights and ethical considerations.

Registration as a European Commission expert
Start planning your career today by registering in the European Commission’s expert database! Horizon Europe is an interdisciplinary programme that receives thousands of proposals in response to published calls. Evaluating these proposals requires a wide range of specialists, which is why the EU Funding & Tenders Portal offers the opportunity to register as an expert. Anyone with extensive expertise in a given field and fluency in English can become an expert. Serving as an evaluator brings not only responsibilities but also numerous benefits. You gain valuable insight into what constitutes a well-prepared proposal and what the European Commission expects when awarding research and innovation funding. Moreover, participating in evaluation panels fosters professional networking and opens doors to future project partnerships. Experts are compensated based on a fixed daily rate, and those working in Brussels receive additional per diem and accommodation allowances, as well as travel reimbursement. At the Horizontal Contact Point, we assist with profile creation, advise on how to make it attractive to the Commission, and guide you through efficient use of the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.

Training offer on Horizon Europe
Horizon Europe is a vast and complex programme supporting research and innovation. To help you navigate its key areas, our team organizes a variety of training and information events. During these sessions, participants receive comprehensive knowledge on selected topics, learn the rules governing specific types of calls, and always have the opportunity to ask questions directly to our speakers.

We are also open to organizing dedicated meetings and can prepare a presentation or training tailored to your chosen topic. We can adapt Horizon Europe content to suit the needs of a specific audience.

Feel free to contact our Horizontal Contact Point team — contact details are available in the CONTACT section.

Horizon Europe – the largest EU programme for research and innovation

This ambitious EU programme aims to:

  • strengthen the EU’s scientific and technological base and the European Research Area (ERA);
  • enhance Europe’s innovation capacity, competitiveness, and job creation;
  • address citizens’ priorities while preserving the socio-economic model and its core values.

Horizon Europe provides competitive funding for projects under three main pillars:

I. EXCELLENT SCIENCE
The first pillar focuses on strengthening and expanding the excellence of the EU’s scientific base through:funding high-quality frontier research,equipping researchers with new knowledge and skills via mobility grants, integrating world-class research infrastructures.

II. GLOBAL CHALLENGES AND EUROPEAN INDUSTRIAL COMPETITIVENESS
This pillar supports the development of key technologies and solutions that underpin EU policies and the Sustainable Development Goals. It includes calls within six thematic clusters, each addressing specific intervention areas. Additionally, it introduces five mission areas. Clusters and missions individually and collectively encourage interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral, cross-policy, and international collaboration.

III. INNOVATIVE EUROPE
The third pillar aims to stimulate breakthrough innovations that create new markets and innovation-friendly ecosystems. This goal is pursued through initiatives such as the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Beyond the three main pillars, Horizon Europe also provides funding to:broaden participation in EU research initiatives, ensure balanced dissemination of scientific excellence across Europe, reform and improve the European research and innovation system.

Thanks to funding from the National Centre for Research and Development, our services are provided free of charge.
